  High Tension Drive Belts

Don't pay more for high tension belts! Our Pyrathane® belts can be engineered to perform in this capacity at a lower cost than our competitors' "High Tension" belts.

In most applications, belts engineered and manufactured from PyrathaneŽ 83A with a 10% initial stretch, are the most suitable choice for drive belts because of excellent co-efficient of friction and flex life.

However, in applications where a greater torque carrying capacity or drive is required, PyrathaneŽ drive belts meet the challenge. This can be accomplished by engineering belts with an initial stretch of 20% or more, using a different PyrathaneŽ material, increasing the cross-sectional dimensions, or any combination of the aforementioned suggestions.

If you are in need of drive belts of this sort, please contact us so that we can engineer and manufacture the belts you need. Depending on the construction (material, cross-section, length) of the belt, these belts can cost significantly less than "High Tension" belts from other manufacturers.

We recommend that users test a number of prototype belts under the same conditions in which the belt will be expected to operate to determine its suitability for the proposed application. Pyramid Inc. can provide prototype belts at little or no cost to accomplish this. Pyramid Inc. assumes no responsibility for any application.
